Brazilian Gerdau group posts consolidated net profit equivalent to $276 million for 2025, against $895 million for 2024.
Net sales increased by 4.2 percent to $13.591 billion, the gross profit declined by 13.4 percent to $1.559 billion and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) declined by 30.1 percent to $1.444 billion.
In volume, crude steel production increased by 3.6 percent to 12.127 million metric tons (mt) and sales of steel products increased by 5.9 percent to 11.630 million mt.
During the fourth quarter of 2025, the company had a net loss equivalent to $250 million, against a net profit of $129 million in the fourth quarter of 2024.
During the fourth quarter of 2025, Brazil accounted for 20.3 percent of the group's EBITDA, 49 percent of its steel shipments, and 41.3 percent of net sales. By comparison, North America contributed 72.8 percent of EBITDA, 41 percent of steel shipments, and 50.1 percent of net sales, while South America made up 6.9 percent of EBITDA, 10 percent of steel shipments, and 8.6 percent of net sales.
