Currently, 36 coal mines out of a total of 41 in China’s Anhui Province have resumed production, equaling 120 million mt of coal capacity, accounting for 94.5 percent of the total capacity in the province. The main reason is the government’s target to supply stable volumes of steam coal to the market.

The Energy Bureau of Anhui Province has announced that Anhui Province will eliminate 2.1 million mt of coal capacity in 2020.
