Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, resumed production on May 25 with the relaunch of operations at its electric steelmaking furnace. The company plans to restart its rolling production at the end of May.

MMZ had stopped production in July 2010. Due to many factors, including problems with customs clearance for imported raw materials, the restart of production at the mill had been delayed several times.
