Moldavian Metallurgical Plant sees decreased 2009 output results

In 2009, Moldavian Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) decreased its rolled steel products output by 46.1 percent year on year from 818,000 mt to 440,900 mt. Meanwhile its output of bars decreased by 48.4 percent from 429,800 mt to 221,800 mt, while its wire rod output went down by 44.4 percent from 385,200 mt to 214,200 mt, both compared to 2008.
 
MMZ's 2009 steel production (cast billets) decreased by 51.9 percent year on year from 884,900 mt to 425,900 mt.
