MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.5 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 9-15) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.5 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, common steel round bar and hot rolled steel strip in China respectively increased by 0.9 percent, 0.8 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.5 percent week on week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal moved down by 0.1 percent and 0.2 percent, while the price of coking coal edged up 0.1 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.1 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) increased by 0.6 percent compared to the previous week.
