MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.4 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (September 10-16) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.4 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of seamless steel pipe, high-speed wire rod, rebar and common steel round bar in China rose by 0.7 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, week on week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the price of thermal coal moved up by 0.2 percent, while the price of anthracite coal edged down by 0.1 percent, and the price of coking coal remained unchanged, respectively, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.3 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) increased by 1.0 percent compared to the previous week.
