MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.3 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (September 3-9) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.3 percent week on week. 

In the given week, average prices of rebar, hot rolled strip, high-speed wire rod and hot dip galvanized (HDG) in China rose by 0.6 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.5 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal, anthracite coal and thermal coal moved up by 0.9 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 1.1 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) decreased by 3.5 percent compared to the previous week.
