MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.2 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 16-22) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.2 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of common steel round bar, steel channel, high-speed wire rod and rebar in China respectively increased by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent week on week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal and thermal coal moved down by 0.5 percent and 0.2 percent respectively, while the price of anthracite coal remained stable, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.4 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) decreased by 2.8 percent compared to the previous week.
