Mexico's Minera Autlan sees net profit rise 11.5 percent in Q1

Mexican manganese and ferroalloys producer Minera Autlan saw its net profit in Q1 rise 11.5 percent, year-on-year, to $3.8 million, the company said this week.

Net revenues in Q1 reached $116.3 million, 30.2 percent up, year-on-year, the company’s best net revenue mark in the last decade. The company’s ferroalloys business reported net revenues of $61.6 million in Q1 this year, up from $58.1 million in Q1 2018. The energy business saw net revenues in Q1 drop to $48.5 million, from $64.7 million in Q1 2018. The manganese business saw its net revenues slightly decline to $14.3 million in Q1 this year, from $15.7 million in Q1 2018.

Minera Autlan said EBITDA in Q1 was $25.9 million, 2.5 percent down, year-on-year.
