Mexican economic activity stable in July

Mexican economic activity was stable in July, with a slight 0.1 percent increase month-on-month, according to information released this week by the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi.

The country’s economic activity in July rose 2.1 percent year-on-year. Primary and secondary activities rose 4.3 and 0.2 percent month-on-month, respectively. On the other hand, tertiary activities declined 0.2 percent in the same basis of comparison.

In the year-on-year analysis, however, all activities showed some improvement. Primary, secondary and tertiary activities improved by 0.1, 0.7 and 2.8 percent, year-on-year, respectively.
