Metinvest’s Ilyich sees higher production results in January-April

In the January-April period of the current year, the output of finished steel produced by Ukraine’s Ilyich SW, which belongs to the Metinvest international group of companies, increased by 19.9 percent year on year to 1.34 million mt, SteelOrbis has learned from a local media source. In the meantime, the company’s output of crude steel in the given period rose by 10.7 percent year on year to 1.42 million mt, while its pig iron output totaled 1.56 million mt, increasing by 8.9 percent year on year. In the January-April period of the current year, the company produced 4.51 million mt of iron ore agglomerate, up 16.5 percent year on year.

In April alone, the company produced around 335,000 mt of finished steel, 330,000 mt of crude steel, 445,000 mt of pig iron and 1.16 million mt of iron ore agglomerate.
