Metinvest supplies rails to Kazakhstan Railways

The Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that in the first half of 2009 it has delivered more than 8,000 mt of rails to Kazakhstan Railways.

The R-65 thermally processed rails of 25 m in length are produced from M76T steel grade at Metinvest’s steelmaking subsidiary Azovstal, and will be used by Kazakhstan Railways for the repair of its main railroads.
