Mechel Trading House and Mechel-Service, subsidiaries of Russian mining and steel producing group Mechel, have announced the launch of a second mesh-welding production line, supplied by Austrian company EVG.

The new equipment is an automatic line for the manufacture of mesh with diameters in a range of 6-12 mm. The scheduled productivity of equipment is 1,500 mt per month. The raw material for mesh-welding production is cold-formed hardware, manufactured by Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant, which is a part of Mechel.

The first mesh-welding production line, which was launched in 2009, produces mesh in diameters of 3-8 mm and operates at full capacity.
