Mechel appoints new MD to Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant

The Russian mining and steel producing company Mechel announced on June 3 that a new managing director has been appointed for the company's subsidiary Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant. Rashid Nugumanov, who has worked for 20 years at Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, will start his new position on June 3.

Meanwhile, replaced by Rashid Nugumanov, Sergei Malyshev will be transferred to the company's headquarters. Mechel Steel Management Company chief executive officer Andrey Deineko stated, "With his transfer to the company's headquarters, Mr. Malyshev will focus on handling strategic issues, which we hand over to this manager with rich experience in creating an efficient system for managing the economic activities of an enterprise."
