Japan steelmakers may hike prices

Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel Corp. and other major steelmakers will start negotiations with automakers and shipbuilders this week. Japanese steel mills are expected to increase their prices up to 10 percent in an effort to offset high raw material costs. Nippon Steel, Japan's largest steelmaker and second-ranked JFE Holdings Inc. declined to comment on the report.
