ITC review for duties on certain pipe-fittings begins today

As previously SteelOrbis, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced that it determined to initiate five-year review (sunset review) of the antidumping duty orders on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings imported from Brazil, China, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. The review is initiated to determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty order on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fitting imported from Brazil, China, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US steel industry. Interested parties may submit their responses January 21, 2005 by the latest. As the notice regarding initiation of the review has been published in Federal Register today, the review is effective as of December 1, 2004, i.e today.
