The United States International Trade Commission (US ITC) on April 28, 2008 announced a new date for the issuing of its final decision in its investigations into light walled rectangular pipe and tube from China, South Korea, Mexico and Turkey.

The ITC had released its preliminary dumping determination in the investigation of light-walled rectangular (LWR) pipe and tube from South Korea, Mexico, and Turkey on January 28, 2008 and the US Department of Commerce (DOC) was expected to issue its final dumping determinations in the investigations involving Mexico and Turkey by April 7, 2008, and in the investigation involving South Korea by June 6, 2008.

However, the ITC had noted earlier that the DOC postponed its final determinations and that comments on these determinations would be permitted based on a schedule to be issued by the Commission no later than the publication in the Federal Register of such determinations by the DOC.

Consequently, the DOC extended the date for its final determination in the investigation on Mexico to June13, 2008. Accordingly, the ITC has announced the new scheduled date for the issuing of its final decision with respect to the investigations concerning China, South Korea and Mexico as June 20, 2008.
