ITC initiates sunset review for AD order on certain pipe fittings

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has recently announced that it has determined to initiate five-year review (sunset review) of the antidumping duty orders on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings imported from Brazil, China, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. ITC will conduct sunset review for the duties on subject merchandise to determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty order on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fitting imported from Brazil, China, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US steel industry. Interested parties may submit their responses on January 21, 2005 by the latest. The initiation of the review will be effective once it is published in Federal Register.
