IPSCO earmarks $3.5m for pipe research

IPSCO, a leading North American steel plate and pipe producer, announced a $3.5 million investment to establish a research unit specifically geared towards speeding up the company's large diameter capability development. The investment is part of IPSCO's goal of being better able to serve customers with specific steel and pipe needs for large diameter energy transmission lines. Research on various advanced energy sector steel products will also be conducted at the new research unit.
