INSIG’s long steel output up 10 percent in first nine months of Iranian year
Iranian steelmaker Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) produced 217,000 mt of semi-finished steel (billet) and 920,000 mt of long steel products (I-beam, rebar and tube) in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2010), representing increases of 20 percent and 10 percent respectively compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
