Turkish merchant bar producers have kept their official domestic merchant bar prices unchanged in the local currency, while decreasing them by $3/mt on US dollar basis against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations. One Iskenderun-based mill issued its equal angle price at TRY 28,600/mt ($627/mt) ex-works today, May 21, stable on lira basis and down by $3/mt on US dollar basis over the same period.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in June or from stocks, depending on the size.
