Inflation in OECD area up
Annual inflation in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) area rose to 2.8 percent in August due to the increase in energy prices.
Excluding food and energy prices, consumer price index (CPI) remained stable at 1.8 percent year on year in August.
In the US, the CPI rose 3.6 percent year on year in August. In
Japan, consumer prices fell 0.3 percent.
