India’s state-owned National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has resumed mining operations at its Bailadila iron ore complex located in the eastern state of Chhattisgarh, according to local media reports.

The matter of the licensing regarding the storing area is being discussed with the state government authorities, SteelOrbis understands. While the government said that the storing area is located outside the loading plant, the company insists that the storing area is within the mining complex.

The company had temporarily suspended operations at its Bailadila iron ore mine after a verbal notice from the Chhattisgarh government, as previously reported by the SteelOrbis.
