India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore lumps and fines with immediate effect - April 6, 2026

Indian government-run miner NMDC Limited has hiked prices of iron ore lumps and fines with immediate effect, company sources said on Monday, April 6.

The sources said that the price of iron ore lumps (Fe content of 67 percent, 10-40 mm) has been increased by INR 550/mt ($6/mt) to INR 5,900/mt ($63/mt) ex-pithead and the price of iron ore fines (Fe content of 64 percent, less than 10 mm) has been raised by INR 450/mt ($5/mt) to INR 4,500/mt ($48/mt) ex-pithead.

All prices are exclusive of mandatory taxes and levies like the District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
