India’s KIOCL Limited resumes operation of pellet plant

Indian state-run iron ore pellet producer KIOCL has resumed operations at its 3 million mt plant at Mangalore in the southern state of Karnataka, according to a company regulatory filing on Thursday, September 7.

The company had shut down the plant in the first week of August citing a shortage of availability of iron ore.

KIOCL has been resorting to plant shutdowns frequently having restarted the plant in July after a shutdown of nearly one month.
