Indian government-run pellet producer KIOCL Ltd has resumed operations at its 3 million mt per year capacity plant at Mangalore in the southern state of Karnataka, a company regulatory filing said on Monday, October 16.

The company had shut down the plant last month owing to shortage of availability of iron ore fines from domestic sources.

Last week, the company floated a tender seeking 250,000 mt of iron ore fines from overseas sources with a clause stipulating buyback of pellets by the supplier.
