India’s coking coal imports up 10.37 percent in April

Indian coking coal imports through all major ports in the country in April this year totaled 4.726 million mt, up 10.37 percent from the corresponding month of the previous year, according to data released by the Indian Ports Association (IPA) on Wednesday, May 12.

According to the IPA data, total iron ore freight traffic, including ore, fines and pellets, handled by all the major Indian ports was reported at 6.53 million mt in April, up 96.51 percent year on year.
