Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) has announced that in 2014 it exported 6.6 million mt of finished steel.
In particular, high value-added finished steel accounted for 26.5 percent of the total export volume, up 10.78 percentage points compared to 2013. Tangsteel’s thin specification hot rolled coil (HRC), thick specification cold rolled galvanized steel and automotive steel sheet, Handan Steel’s heavy rails and low alloy high-strength steels, Xuanhua Steel’s high carbon wire rod, and Chengde Steel’s thin specification hot rolled plates are among the products which contributed to the strong performance of Hebei Iron and Steel Group’s exports.
