Located in Cangzhou Yancheng County of Hebei Province, Hebei Hongrun Heavy Industries Group has started
production of large diameter seamless steel
pipe for high pressure use, following a total project investment of RMB 31.2 billion ($3.95 billion).
Trial
production which began on August 25, 2006, was a complete success. Annual
production in Phase I of this project is estimated to reach 30,000 mt of steel
pipe for high pressure use. The product is destined mainly for large scale nuclear power station
construction.
