In September this year, heavy truck sales in China amounted to 83,000 units, up 13.0 percent month on month, shifting from the month-on-month decline seen in August. At the same time, in September heavy truck sales managed to show a 7.7 percent increase year on year, according to the data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider.

In the January-September period of the year, heavy truck sales totaled 888,400 units, decreasing by 1.0 percent year on year, with this declining pace 1.0 percentage point slower than the 2.0 percent recorded in the January-August period.

Market analysts think that, though heavy truck sales in China in the fourth quarter will likely see a year-on-year decline, overall heavy truck sales for the full year of 2019 will amount to 1.12 million units, with 2019 to become the third year in which heavy truck sales in China exceed 1.1 million units, following the sales recorded in 2017 and 2018.
