Harsco and ArcelorMittal Tubarao sign $150 million service deal

Harsco Corporation, a service provider for the global steel industry, has signed a $150 million service deal with Brazilian steelmaker ArcelorMittal Tubarao, the company said on Thursday.

Harsco said the contract is a further 10-year deal for the Tubarao mill, located in the city of Vitoria, in Espirito Santo state. The multi-year contract includes meltshop cleaning, slag handling and crushing, metal recovery, and drop ball services.

Harsco labeled the agreement as “key” to maintaining its “strong strategic presence in Latin America.” ArcelorMittal Tubarao is a flats producer with a 7.5 million mt capacity.
