Guryevsk Metallurgical Works’ crude steel output rises 35.2 percent in Q1

Guryevsk Metallurgical Works (GMZ), a subsidiary of Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR), in the first quarter of the current year saw its crude steel output increase by 35.2 percent compared to the same period last year, producing 52,800 mt.
 
Meanwhile, during the period in question, GMZ increased its commercial rolled steel product output by 11.8 percent to 61,000 mt, and upped its steel grinding balls production by 14 percent to 27,000 mt, both compared to the corresponding period of last year.
