In October this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 262,700 units, down 11.8 percent month on month and decreasing by six percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-October period of this year, Germany's new passenger car registrations increased by five percent year on year, totaling 2,818,500 units.
According to the VDA, in October of the current year 472,800 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 10.7 percent and a year-on-year fall of 11 percent. German passenger car output in the January-October period of this year amounted to 4,851,500 units, stable compared to the same period last year.
In October this year, a total of 364,700 passenger cars were exported from Germany, down by 9.8 percent month on month and decreasing by eight percent compared to October last year. In the first ten months of the current year, German passenger car exports amounted to 3,703,900 units, decreasing one percent year on year.
