Germany’s industrial output down 1.4 percent in October from September

In October this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.4 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for September showed a decrease of 0.9 percent compared to August, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

As compared to September, in October this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by two percent, while the production of capital goods fell by 2.7 percent and output of consumer goods narrowed 2.6 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods decreased by one percent, while energy production was up by 5.1 percent and construction output saw a fall of 1.3 percent, all month on month.
