Germany’s Dillinger supplies heavy plate for offshore wind farm in Netherlands

German steel plate producer Dillinger Group has announced that it has supplied around 115,000 mt of heavy plate for Swedish power company Vattenfall’s offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid on the coast of the Netherlands.

The heavy plates were used for the production of monopile foundation structures.

With 139 turbines and an installed capacity of 1.5 GW, Hollandse Kust Zuid can supply approximately 1.5 million households with renewable energy each year.
