Georgia’s steel pipe imports from Turkey up 2.3 percent in Jan-Feb

In the first two months of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the second biggest trading partner of the country, amounted to $198.9 million, including exports worth $29.8 million, up 14.9 percent, and imports worth $169.1 million, decreasing 14.9 percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
 
In the first two months, Georgia's imports of steel tubes and pipes from Turkey amounted to 8,869 mt, up 2.3 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these imports totaled $6.07 million, down 15.8 percent on year-on-year basis.
