Russian gas company Gazprom has stated that in 2012 it plans to reduce its purchases of large diameter pipes by 40 percent to 1.346 million mt compared to 2011. So far this year, 320,500 mt of large diameter pipes have been shipped to Gazprom compared to 1.286 million mt in the same period last year.
In 2013 and 2014, Gazprom plans to purchase 1.4 million mt and 1.45 million mt of large diameter pipes respectively.
