Freight on Chinese national railways up 2.8 percent in Q1

In the January-March period this year, the freight delivered by national railways in China reached 948 million mt, rising by 25.87 million mt or 2.8 percent year on year, as announced by China Railway Corporation (CRC).

The freight department of CRC said the demand for freight has been strong, contributing to the rise in freight in the first quarter.
