Edmonton, Canada-based Bri-Chem Corporation announced Wednesday that it has successfully produced North America's first 30-inch seamless steel pipe. Bri-Chem is the leading wholesale distributor and manufacturer of oil and gas drilling fluids, steel pipe and piping products in North America. The new size pipe was produced utilizing their Thermal Pipe Expansion (TPE) process.

Bri-Chem's facility completed the production of 150 tons of 30-inch standard wall seamless steel pipe, which is the largest seamless carbon steel pipe manufactured to date in North America, while Bri-Steel Manufacturing Inc. has completed quality control testing on the steel pipe. The newly-manufactured steel pipes are being shipped to customers in the US.
