Fangda Special Steel starts to dry its hot blast furnace No. 2

On October 3, Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Fangda Special Steel Technology Co. started to dry its hot blast furnace No. 2, according to Hubei Province-based China First Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Beijing-based Chinese state-run company China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). China First Metallurgical Group is responsible for the construction of the hot blast furnace No. 2.
 
The capacity of the hot blast furnace No. 2 is 1,050 cubic meters, with an annual capacity of 1 million mt. Work on the project began on March 3, 2011, and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
