China’s daily crude steel output in September down from August levels

According to the latest figures released by China's National Bureau of Statistics, in September this year total crude steel output in China came to 56.7 million mt, up 16.5 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the average daily crude steel output in China in September was 1.89 million mt, declining by 5,200 mt month on month.
 
Meanwhile, the total crude steel output in China during the first nine months of the current year amounted to 525.74 million mt, rising by 10.7 percent compared to the same period of last year.
 
In September, China's pig iron output reached 52.08 million mt, rising by 15.7 percent from the corresponding period of last year, while the country's finished steel output totaled 76.36 million mt, up 18.8 percent year on year. During the January-September period, China's pig iron and finished steel outputs respectively totaled 485.52 million mt and 667.29 million mt, indicating year-on-year increases of 10.4 percent and 13.9 percent.
