In September this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased 2.1 percent year on year at 189,224 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In September, Spain and Germany were the only markets among the big five to post growth (up 7.8% and 5.5% respectively), while the United Kingdom (-6.0%) and Italy (-1.0%) performed less well, compared to September 2016.
In the January-September period of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 1.8 million units, up 3.3 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+14.4%), France (+6.5%), Germany (+2.2%) and Italy (+1.6%) recorded increases, while the UK (-3.3%) market declined , all year on year.
