Euro zone’s unemployment rate up to 8.9%

Unemployment in the Euro zone from 8.8% in February to 8.9% in March, according to data released by European Union (EU) statistics agency Eurostat. Eurostat adds that unemployment rate in the 25 member states of the EU remained unchanged at 8.9% in March. In March 2005, Ireland (4.3%), Luxembourg (4.5%), Austria (4.6%), the UK (4.7%) and Denmark (4.9%) saw the lowest unemployment rates. On the other hand, Poland (18.1%), Slovakia (15.9%), Greece (10.2%) and Spain (10.2%) experienced the highest rates.
