India's Essar Steel has announced that its high grade pipes and plates that can withstand the risk of corrosion from sour gas have been approved by UAE-based Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd (GASCO), enabling the company to secure orders from GASCO. Additionally, Essar Steel has become the first Indian company to receive such an approval in the Middle East.

According to Essar Steel's statement, the approval will further strengthen the company's position in the highly demanding global oil and natural gas industry. The approval also highlights Essar Steel's integrated capability to produce a wide range of pipe products.
