Eastern Special Steel commissions steel bar production line

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese special steel producer Eastern Special Steel officially launched production at its new special steel bar production line on January 1, according to local media sources.

Construction of the line was started in May 2010, with the total investment amounting to RMB 250 million ($39.37 million). Its annual production output is expected to reach 1 million mt. 

Eastern Special Steel mainly produces structural steel products. It was established from the Dongan plant of a bankrupt steel company named Tieben Steel.
