Czech-based Sev.en Global Investment to acquire majority stake in Australian coal producer

Czech Republic-based investment company Sev.en Global Investments has announced that it will acquire a 51 percent stake in Coronado Global Resources.

Based in Australia and having operations also in the US, Coronado Global is an international producer of high-quality metallurgical coal. The company has a coal production of about 16 million mt per year. In addition, total reserves of Coronado amount to 550 million mt.

The deal in question is expected to enhance Sev.en GI’s position as a leading producer of high-quality metallurgical coal since the company is investing especially in mining and power generation projects across the globe.
