CSC’s steel sales down 8.7 percent in September from August

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in September this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by 8.7 percent to 817,176 metric tons compared to August, accounting for 68 percent of domestic sales. During the first nine months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 8.16 million mt, accounting for 69 percent of domestic sales.
 
In September, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 23.38 billion ($740.45 million), down by nine percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 2.6 billion ($82.46 million), decreasing by 9.26 percent compared to the previous month.
