CSC’s steel sales down 3.1 percent in June from May

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in June this year its carbon steel sales volume declined by 3.1 percent month on month to 939,397 metric tons, accounting for 69 percent of domestic sales, while in the first half of this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 5.54 million mt, accounting for 70 percent of domestic sales.

In June, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 33.38 billion ($1.08 billion), down by five percent compared to May. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 3.5 billion ($114.41 million), rising by 24 percent compared to the previous month.
