CSC’s steel sales down 14.5 percent in January from December

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in January this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by 14.5 percent to 846,360 metric tons compared to December, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. 
 
In January, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 25.15 billion ($816.85 million), decreasing by 11 percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 2.12 billion ($68.8 million), rising by 32.6 percent compared to the previous month.
