Corus to raise prices remarkably as of July

According to the statement released from Anglo-Dutch steel maker Corus, the company is planning to increase its prices from the beginning of July. The company plans to increase basis prices for United Kingdom (UK) minimum by £50 per ton. The planned price increase for EU will be up to 20%. Moreover, Corus is planning to implement monthly price hikes for certain products as of May. Corus is expected to announce on April 1, 2004 the products that will be subject to price increases.
